German-born journalist and award-winning author Anke Otto-Wolf, returned to college
after a successful earlier career in performing arts; as a single mother of three she
received an additional degree in Journalism from Hampton University,
Virginia, in 1990.  The years following she turned her experiences and talents toward creating/
writing much needed anti-violence programs for schools, which culminated in
a student Oscar from the Film Academy in Los Angeles (1994), and being honored by
President Bill Clinton (1996).  At the same time, she continued to study behavioral
science. In December 1997, she took time out from her demanding work with inner-city
kids and continued her research studies in Berlin, Germany.  
Due to the events of September 11, 2001, Otto-Wolf returned home to the U.S.  She lives in
Southern California where she continues to teach in the classroom, and provides e-seminars for
teachers, parents, and coaches and trainers.   Click on
